Dr.s Kevin Crawford and Field Scovell were on the sideline for the Texas Tech season opener agaist Eastern Washington University. Dr. Crawford enters his second year as the Head Team Orthopedist for Tech Football. Dr.s Crawford and Scovell will serve as Orthopedic Consultants to Texas Tech as well.

Lubbock Sports Medicine Student Athletic Trainer's Workshop (8/1/2008)
Lubbock Sports Medicince hosted its 2nd Annual Student Athletic Trainer Workshop on 8/1/08. Aproximately 80 high school students were taught the basics of Athletic Training including anatomy, injury prevention and rehab, and taping. Lubbock Sports Medicine is dedicated to educating the future Athletic Trainers of West Texas.

2nd Annual Athletic Trainer Golf and Barbeque (7/26/2008)
Lubbock Sports Medicine hosted the 2nd Annual Athletic Trainer Golf and Barbeque on July 26, 2008. The event was held at Shadow Hills Golf Course. Over twenty golfers played alongside the physicians and staff of Lubbock Sports Medicine. Afterwards everyone enjoyed barbeque back at the office. Lubbock Sports Medicine looks forward to sponsoring this annual event for many years to come.

LSM First Annual Clinic and Workshop: Focus on the Shoulder (6/27/2008)
Lubbock Sports Medicine's First Annual Clinic and Workshop: Focus on the Shoulder was a huge success. Over 70 athletic trainers, physical and occupational therapist, attended this educational event that included lectures from all the physicians at Lubbock Sports Medicine.
